Once near the Overseer's office, you can rescue Amata by killing the guards in the jail room, or sneak by. If you help him, or if you kill him, you are rewarded with his Tunnel Snakes outfit. When Butch approaces you, you can either help him or ignore him.
You can kill all of the officers or just run, same with the radroaches. To quickly leave the vault, when Amata wakes you up, to not respond negatively while quickly speeding through the speech options you need to select the top option in the dialogue choices and repeatedly hit enter or click on it until you are done talking. These are up to you, but I recommend you watch Yogscast Will's Fallout 3 Character Guide for the rundown on what each Tag! skill is and how it affects your character. He will tell you "The whole test is a joke" and allow you to fill in the answers yourself, or, filling in your Tag! skills. You need to talk to Brotch, but tell him you don't want to take the test. very quickly, tell your father bye, grab the bobblehead, and get to class. Talk to Jonas, and your father will teleport behind you just out in the hall. Once you leave the diner, go down to the reactor but avoid Beatrice, as she would like to talk to you about a poem she made. This doesn't include the Overseer, because he only has nasty comments to say should you talk to him, and you can get by without talking to him. To leave the Birthday Scene the fastest, what you should do is talk to everyone. The descriptions for these stats are pretty bad in FO3, so I recommend looking at Yogscast Will's Fallout 3 Character Guide (Youtube) to tell you what each one specifically does, or you could go elsewhere, such as the Fallout Wiki to get this information. You can put your final point in whatever you want. I recommend putting 4 points in Intelligence, because that gives you the max XP bonus you can get from the start (I will go into why you don't put all 5 points into Intelligence in the next section). stats, or your Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck stats. When you are a baby, in the vault for the first time, you will receive your S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
When you return (if you do) later in the game, if you have killed the Overseer, Vault 101 will be very different. You can pretty much say whatever in this section, and do whatever, without reprocussions - except for leaving the vault. This section of the game doesn't matter much.
